I need this travel tote in my life

The Lo and Sons OG bag:
http://www.loandsons.com/the-og

BUT it's too pricey. It has everything one would need in a travel tote: light, ample size, carries all the essentials, multiple pockets, slips over luggage handle, SECRET SHOE COMPARTMENT!!!

Can anyone recommend an alternative?

discount

You can get a 35% discount on it per their web site which brings it down to 191.75. Look at the top.

I have a briggs and Riley tote which does not have a compartment for shoes but has several compartments and costs 149.00 at full retail. The dimensions are similar to this one.

The web site is http://www.briggs-riley.com/category...255&sec=travel

Thanks for the link! I know they are having a sale but it's still a little pricey. I'll check out the Briggs and Riley tote.

So, I think I found a pretty good duplicate: The Dakine Valet.

Here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V78q8w54y5A

It has gotten pretty good reviews on zappos. After watching it for a few days, I decided to get it today on sale for less than $50. Hope it arrives in time for my next trip!

The Dakine looks good! Are you using that as your only carry-on bag?

No, I'm using it as my "purse" and it will double as a cross body bag when I'm traveling. I actually just got an e-mail that the bag I ordered was not up to the standards of the company to ship out so the order was cancelled. So I just ordered from Zappos for a few dollars more. *crossing fingers*

My ONLY issue with this bag is the branding. They use pretty hideous color combinations to spell out "Dakine" on an otherwise perfect bag. I initially ordered the hounds tooth and hot pink combo but that was the bag that was not up to par. So my options were the houndstooth with a fugly lime green or the gray Geneve with Tiffany's blue. I went with the latter.

I also liked this bag: Dakine Avani

However, it's really more of a gym bag and doesn't have a laptop sleeve or the nice organizational compartment in the front.

So many types of things do this too..it annoys me. I prefer brand-free.

I would have chosen the grey one as well cos the black (though I love black) was a little boring.

Ugh! What were they thinking! Even the zipper closures are lime green, blue, pink, etc. Less is more. Those are the details that companies overlook that make a product cross from tasteful to cheap.

I have a somewhat smaller Lipault bag I like a lot.

I have the reporter bag, but they also have a larger bag. In the US, it's also available at Travelsmith (and probably other places; for a while, Lipault's distribution blipped out, and I got my bag before that happened).

I was looking at a Samsonite tote in a store yesterday, it had an underneath shoe compartment which was kinda cool! I can't remember model etc. but it was on sale for around $45/50 I think.

I got my Dakine Valet in the mail today and I LOVE it! The size is perfect! I was worried it would be too large after watching the video, but it's not. The geneve print is chic and understated. You don't notice the robin's egg blue accents. It has great storage space as well. Fits right over my carry on. There's a strap so I can wear it crossbody at my destination for sightseeing. The true test will be when I load it up and use it for the first time of course. I'll post some pics later!

The Silhouette boarding bag, maybe? (an older model might be around that price).

That's it. It was current model (the store had a 75% off sale). I pondered it, but already have too many bags (aside from my dream bag with the right straps, design, pockets, closures etc which doesn't seem to exist yet!)
