Parking Lot Bus Route Names to Change:

http://skyharbor.com/phxperspective/BusChanges.html

Changes Coming in Parking Lot Bus Routes

Sky Harbor is simplifying and streamlining its bus routes. Beginning February 1, travelers will no longer have to remember whether they parked in the Gecko, Roadrunner or Jackrabbit parking lots. The Airport is re-naming the routes to provide customers an easier travel experience.
Probably a good idea. Jackrabbit/Gecko etc. were rather silly names

Ah, but what do we do about the directionally challenged?

When does the, "people mover," thing open? Won't that eliminate the need for these express buses? Or will they still need a bus to circle the East Economy lot, then drop everyone at the people mover stop?

Phase 1 will connect only the East Economy Lot and Terminal 4 to the Light Rail and that opens in 2013. The rest is scheduled to open in 2020 but I wouldn't lay odds on that.

The busses will be around for a while.

The local paper had a piece on this past Monday (or Tues?) that these buses will be changing names. Sorry I can't recall more of this but perhaps another intrepid FTer will locate and post a link about the change...

$11 for 3 days covered pkg, value $33

Groupon Phoenix today is offering a groupon for Blue Sky parking. $11 for 3 days of covered parking at their new facility. Expires in 1 year and must be used in one visit were the main restrictions that I saw briefly.

About 17 hours left to buy this one as of 0700 MST.

Hope somebody else can use it too!

I've been using Blue Sky over the past couple of weeks. Living in Scottsdale, it takes the same amount of time as using East Economy to get there from my condo (well...maybe 1-2 extra minutes) but alleviates the hassle of having to find a parking spot in the lot. Have always been picked up real quickly as well - by far the best airport parking service I've used between BOS/MSP/PHX.

On again, purchase by midnight Friday 6/10. Same terms, good for 1 year, can buy up to 5 at a time.
