And, Mr H, as the apparent curator of all things related to VA policies, T&C, procedures, et al, I'm still waiting on your disclosure of the "hot beverages" while boarding policy. If it's there, I'm sure you'll find it, and I can't wait to see it.

Until then, I'm off to find a Starbucks around here, hopefully the local PD won't treat it with as much fear and loathing as the VA people do.

Perhaps it was because you didn't ask about unchecked bags. And if the phone calls had already become very long... Maybe the telephonists were just taking your advice and letting you get on your way and clear out of their space.

You're right, I missed one, it should be 6.
good catch

But on a serious note, I'm past getting myself upset about the little things nowadays. Expect nothing and you may be pleasantly surprised sometimes.

If you got to where you were going pretty much on time and in one piece, then all is good. Anything else is just gravy.... just make sure your gravy is not hot and weighs no more than 7KG.

No the reason for the length of the call was due to the excessive time being spent on hold while they checked their policies. Once again your speculation has proven not only to be ridiculous but inaccurate

As I've said twice previously we spent a fair amount of time discussing carry-ons. So do please try to pay attention I'm growing tired of constantly repeating myself

That everyone is seated; they can control the temperature and size of the drinks they serve; and it is a risk that is within their direct control.

I know the coffee served on VA isn't great, but you're obviously no connoisseur if you're going to Starbucks.

So please refer to the thank you letter I sent the airline way back on page one where I basically said the same thing thanking them for their due diligence and knowing what is best for everyone involved. I realize as an oafish cloddish Starbucks consumer that I have absolutely no business consuming a purchased hot (!!!!!)beverage anywhere within the confines of Virgin Australia's domain and politely defer to the professionalism integrity and competence of the service staff accordingly. Further on another note I will refrain from wearing shoes with shoelaces as the potential risk of my having tripped over them would cause great bodily and property damage to anyone nearby

Actually I just take a closer look at what you said and give it a bit of scrutiny.

Once previously - the second time you mentioned these phone calls (suspiciously late in the thread, I might add) it was only to talk about checked baggage.

But the upshot of your point is that they didn't mention a weight limit so you assumed there was no weight limit? Surely anyone who has flown more than twice is aware that there is a luggage weight limit when you fly.

I'm enjoying him enourmously. The VA Board is normally so moribund.

That said of course if you provide a reasonable and credible answer to any of my complaints my responses would be most complementary. Unfortunately that's largely not been the case all along...

That's true

I just checked VA forum on the AFF (which is much busier) and thank God, he is not there... But on the other hand, he would probably get much harsher treatment there than here...
