Dates/venues are all OK with me, cannot pick a specific one at this stage so far out (sorry ), the OOL lounge having opened by then notwithstanding.

Attendance status at this stage is interested. Platinum status till 30AUG 2012 at this stage.

Looking to book by 21st based on the current leading option at that time.

I have until then to use my 'free' Amex return "Flight".

(It was to expire tomorrow but I have obtained an extension.)

Queensland as an only option seems illogical to me but in any case, probably, non of the dates will work for me, so no vote from me.

Wow... talk about planing in advance!

Me and my partner are gold for attendance to the event, not really fussed re: dates. Prefer Brisbane as the GC is a bit of a backwater IMHO

Just on a week to go, BNE 28 July is pulling ahead and I have been informed OOL lounge may not be ready by then anyhow

It could be held anywhere (that there is a DJ lounge). And while I think I flagged the possibility of having a separate DJ AGM (in no particular location, other than a DJ lounge) in another thread, the OP is the one who has actually thrown it out there as a real event, so as far as I am concerned he/she can nominate wherever they wish for it to be held. People can or can't or will or won't attend, as with anything else. I am a 'maybe' for it.

That said, there is no 'traditional' location for this event yet as there is in the case of BNE for the QF AGM, so perhaps the opportunity exists to make it movable - rotate annually through the various DJ lounge ports. This seems more equitable than a single permanent location. It does not however overly bother me where it is held so I'm unlikely to agitate for change, but if it bugs others (and it seems that it does) then the opportunity is there to speak up now (and a couple have ) before BNE and/or OOL do become 'traditional' venues.

For the novice, what actually happens at an AGM?

Is there a Chairperson and members of the leadership team giving a briefing? lol

I would agree with this. When the idea was first floated for the event in Brisbane there were a couple of comments about when it would be held, and nothing that I recall about where it would be held.

Absolutely. Robust discussion about the quality of beverages on offer. Perhaps some discussion around the food.

I have family on the Gold Coast, so I vote for BNE.

Seriously though, I don't have a major preference; BNE is as good as MEL, PER, or SYD.

OK, well poll closed with a late rush to vote!

At least we have a clear winner on the date! 28 July 2012 it is!

However, with a draw for OOL and BNE, I guess it now comes down to whether OOL will have a lounge by then or not.

I will email our friendly company rep and explore the most likely venue. Watch this space!
