Main Cabin Select Upgrades
I am Virgin Silver, and I'm wondering how I go about the free main cabin select upgrade? On the Virgin site it still tries to charge me for the upgrade.
Also, if MCS ends up being sold out and I'm in a normal seat, is there any way for me to still get the free drinks since technically I should be allowed in one of those seats for free?

No, because you're "technically" not sitting in MCS and you're "technically" only entitled to an MCS seat if one is available within your upgrade window.

If you book via VirginAmerica.com there is a check box you check to say "Add me to the MCS upgrade waitlist". If you book somewhere else, you need to call and have them add you to the list, as you will not be automatically upgraded.
You can also call within the 12 hour window before departure and they can u/g you immediately if space is available.
