Lounge access at JFK

I see that *G members traveling internationally are supposed to get lounge access in Star Alliance lounges on the day of travel.

I am Gold Preferred on US and would like to be able to use the United Red Carpet Club at JFK (as I see that there is no US Club there).

So if I have an Air Canada ticket + my *G card, I'll be able to get into the UA RCC?

Or does my beloved airline US not allow this? I have a US Club membership but do not have the Red Carpet Club or Star Alliance Lounge add-on memberships.

Thanks.
