The Netflix offer linked from USAirways' 250% holiday bonus comes with 14 day trial. I used Netflix last summer for 100% US bonus miles. The posted 'activity date' was truly the day I signed up, and the post date was 10 days after the trial period ended.

No, but they did call me to verify that I did purchase the GC. I almost didn't pick up the phone because I couldn't tell who it was on the caller ID.

So they all seem to be taking about 2 weeks, huh? Guess I should have done mine earlier than yesterday. Oh well.

Store 8 TIB -300$ x40 = 12000 miles+bonus 250% = 12000+30000=42000
Store 9 TIB - 200$ x40 = 8000 miles+bonus 250% = 8000+20000=28000
Store 10 TIB - 50$ x40 = 2000 miles + bonus 250% = 2000+5000=7000

Total Cost = 550 $ = 20149 + bonus 50613 = 70762 =
128 MILES /$ or another way of looking at 0.78C / MILE
For all 4 (7-10)- 1100$ = 42149+ 105613= 142762 = 0.77c/mile

If
Store 7 TIB - 500$ x20 = 10000 miles + bonus 250% = 10000+25000=35000
Then cost = 550$ for 35762 miles = 65miles / $ or 1.5 c / mile

Then, it is much cheaper just to share, gift and transfer miles on USair.com

Why all the separate transactions? You can buy as much as you want from TIB all in one order.

There's no reson to believe that TIB earns 20 miles/dollar. The 40miles/dollar is plastered on every page along the way when you place an order.

Hi Guys,
I think this 250% bonus is just great, but since I rarely shop over the internet I have difficulties finding the mentioned deals.
I can do the gifts cards, but could not place Track It Back or restaurant com.
Did a search and not the right things came up.
How do I proceed?

So far, I think, I can do:
Gaiam
Sears gift card
want to restaurant.com gift card?
Netflix, if it posted before the promotion runs out
Track it Back (sharebuilder acct., what is up with that?)
If you can point me to the right way, would appreciate it.

Sorry, to be so dense.
Hakluyt:(

i have a question, aren't the 250 % miles based on the dollar amount spent not on the miles offered?

example:

ftd. 20 miles per $ spent 100 get 2000 from original offer and assume i had 5 store purchases. the 100 x 2.5= 250 miles.

or 2000 x2.5=5000 miles.

which is it?

Unfortunately, I think you're right. it very clearly says "You'll get extra Dividend Miles and additional bonuses, up to 250% for every dollar you spend."

The language suggests that the 250% bonus is on the DOLLAR amount of the transaction, NOT on the miles earned.

I'm hoping otherwise, but it seems quite likely that US air means the dollar value of the purchase...

If this is true, I think this substantially changes the value proposition of TIB:

(300*40) + (300*2.5) = 12,750
$300/12,750 = 2.4cpm

I think that is a highly unlikely interpretation of this bonus offer. That would assume that US Airways can actually calculate a bonus based on amounts that, in all likelihood, do not even post to a customer's DM account.

If we assume that this is the correct intepretation, someone could deposit $100,000 in a Sharebuilder account and get 350,000 miles. I seriously doubt that is going to happen! What would be the catalyst for Sentry insurance -- the premium for the first year? The miles offered are based on a no-obligation quote, not the amount of money you spend with them.

I don't think so.

Is this wishful thinking or do you really have a reason to believe it is the points and not the $ amount spent. Although most % promos are based on the points earned it is not unfathomable that US could be giving bonuses on the $ amounts spent.

It sure would be bad news for the FTer that bought 20 TIB kits @ $299 per kit. OUCH.
