My question is, why is everyone paying to have a Barnes and Noble gift certificate shipped when you can just can an e-gift certificate emailed to you for free?

Plenty of reasons. Actually buying a gift to give to someone - I'd rather give a gift card than a printed email. It's also nice to go to a bookstore and browse books rather than shop online all the time. And it's not that expensive. 95 cents in taxes towards any promo earning thousands of miles isn't an issue for most.

I realize $0.95 isn't much when we're already forking over a good bit of money. I just figured I might have missed something, like the e-gift certs didn't count or something. I just wanted to make sure I hadn't made a fatal error. Thanks.

I didn't even notice the fee until it hit my credit card. Thanks for pointing it out for those that do want to avoid it.

Thanks for the data points! I'm hoping I've not made an error somewhere. I've made purchases with B&N, Sears, donating the tree, and Thanks again. Nothing has posted yet. Going to give it a few more days so that I don't get caught out in the cold.

Why does it say "Earn 20 miles for every $1 you spend with TrackItBack", instead of 40 miles???

Well the 40miles per dollar is plastered all over TrackItBack's site itself.

Might have cracked this case for Canada and the rest of the world. I was able to buy $9.99 SkullCandy earphones from J&R and get it shipped for about $5. There's cheaper stuff to buy on that site if you want to.

I guess I should wait a few days before going for the TrackItBack purchase..

That's weird. This link still shows 40 miles per dollar. Whatever it is, I just purchased a small business pack. I took screen shots during the process that show 40 miles/dollar and that the purchase earns 12,000 miles.

So do they consider all the different stores within the DM Shopping Mall as 1 store for this promotion?

I'm wondering about this too. Here's another one for Canadians - Buy $2 worth of birchwood sticks at Sephora and get it shipped for $10 (not great but better than other stores).
