I vaguely recall that someone (Premex perhaps ?) successfully argued once and got UA to honor a similarly silly fare.
I requested upgrades using systemwides, I am upgraded on the outbound but waitlisted on the return. I guess I only need one cert because I come back the day I land...

I just called the 1K desk because when I booked online, it said that a paper ticket would be sent to me. I called to see if they can change it to electronic, and they said that the southbay flyer bus can't use electronic, so it has to be a paper ticket. However, when the rep looked at my record, he either didn't notice the price on it or something.. so I'm going to cross my fingers and hope that when the ticket comes, it's going to be at that same price. =)

I just called and was placed on the wait list for upgrades using systemwides for the itineraries that I purchased (no confirmed space available at this time).

If UA balks at honoring the low fare price, you could always call Channel 7's consumer reporter Michael Finney. I seem to remember him getting AA to honor an incorrect fare which was quoted just a few weeks ago.

FlyinRev - It looks like the party is over (at least out of SFO), but it did last a good hour.
