Updgrade lost

Due to delays and cancellations yesterday, an upgrade that I used miles to obtain was denied to me yesterday. I was bumped to another flight on United for one segment, but the other had the first class upgrade. However, I was not compensated nor were my miles returned to me for the first un-upgraded segment. Any suggestions?

Perhaps you should post the routing you were on. You probably should have been given a downgrade kit.

Yes - mileage adjustment and/or downgrade kit ..... did you ever have printout of reloc or boarding pass showing the orig. UG?

Email Mileage Plus (from the www.ual.com web site) and explain the situation. THey will probably ask you to send in the boarding passes. You will be compensated either with a segment upgrade or by replacing the pro-rated miles.
