Seat Assignment Question

I have a few flights coming up and saw better seats open up on .bomb but I was unable to change my own seat assignments online. When calling ICC, they said that those seats are taken up or reserved when they are shown as open on .bomb. Is the agent correct? Or should I call again to get another agent?

I think the fact that you couldn't get the seats on-line AND an agent told you they're not available are a pretty good indication that you can't get those seats. You can always call back, of course.

How are you not able to change on-line? What happens when you try? Could it be that you are attempting to change to an exit row seat? Although that should not show as open to you.

Meaning that the seat shows as available and I am able to select the seat, but when I confirm the seat and go back to view my itinerary, it shows I have my old seat, just like in an equipment change. This occurs to most of my flights (different PNR).

Are you on a code-share ticket? In that case, all bets are off.

That's been happening a lot lately, especially with the new config. Though I've never had a problem calling to get them to change my seat for me.

Make sure you actually logoff of .bomb and sign back in after you make your change.
