ATL, BWI, DFW, and MSP Red Carpet Clubs to Close
"on or before October 1" is what the agents [in BWI] have been told.
Kathie at the US club told me this when I was commiserating
with her about losing her job on August 5, so I hotfooted it
here, and the concierge here confirmed this news.
Pity about the Southwesternization of the skies ...

ATL, too
The RCC agent told me the ATL club will close, too. She mentioned that four clubs were closing. I asked her which ones -- she remembered BWI, but couldn't recall the other two.

How sad. I hope that PDX stays but with all the reductions there it wouldn't be surprising.

Given the implosion of flights to MEX, I sure hope it ain't on the list .

hopefully with fewer clubs and the partnership with CO, RCC can focus in giving us a better product.

Don't you mean the partnership with CO? US Air isn't noted for providing high quality.

Very sad. This is this first year where I'll be using BWI as a starting point for my international flights from BWI (I usually go to IAD for the non-stops to Asia/Europe).

Very sad - not happy about this. The staff at the RCC at BWI are the best ^

Now I'm afraid DFW is on the list of closures too.

Yea, I have to think that the tiny clubs like ATL, DFW, MSP, and PDX are on the short list. I need to double-check, but I think that at all 4 airports, those are the only *G lounges; I don't think CO coming over will help in that regard either.

That's bad news. I absolutely hate ATL -- too big, TSA is a nightmare, the shuttle bus system is a nightmare, ugh! I agree, the RCC was a convenient refuge down in UA's little patch at the end of the T concourse.

is the BWI RCC so different from the EWR RCC (aside from the physical size)? They have very approximately the same number of flights to ORD/DEN/SFO/LAX per day. Would EWR be at risk too, or is there more premium traffic from EWR that would keep it off the chopping block?

Hello.
SNA comes to mind for "small" RCC club list
