Legally, they can't be transferred. But some FT's have used the ones with other folk's name on them. Depends on how "nice" the GA is feeling. I used one of mine (1000 mile u/g) on an illegal fare-the GA didn't care because there were a number of F seats available.

Neither the RDMs or EQMs have been added to my MP account yet, though, which is strange since I normally get them posted to my account before I get the statement.

I have not received any notice from Chase saying I am not entitled to the RDMs.

Has anyone been in a similar situation, and, if so, did you ultimately receive the RDMs and EQMs?

Turns out that Chase and MP inadvertently created an additional MP account and put the RDMs and EQMs in that account. I was able to get the two accounts consolidated, so the net result was that I was able to get all of the bonii for getting an additional MP plat visa!

I was told yesterday that waiting for me at home (i'm in college) are 2 business platinum visas. They sent me 2 mailings for the card, with different sign up codes on each. I entered them both online and it seems i got them. How do i transfer my miles though since they never asked for my MP#?

Add that to the visa signature i applied for, the platinum class visa and something else i can't remmber and i've just (hopefully) recieved 80k bonus miles

They will likely opend up new and separate Mileage Plus accounts for each card that you get, and then you should consolidate them all into one account later.

I believe he meant boni, i.e. the plural of "bonus." The double 'i' is a common mistake stemming from generalization of such plurals as "radii" and "genii," but those have a double 'i' because the singular also has an 'i' preceding the '-us' suffix.

Of course, "bonuses" is perfectly acceptable in American English, but if you're going to use the Latin pluralization, please spell it correctly. :D

unless you are trying to be funny with the play on words...

btw I was wondering why it's prospectuses instead of prospecti?

Got the dreaded Letter

My husband and I have taken advantage of the initial bonus miles 3 times over 6 years. (now I wish we had applied exactly every 6 months!) This 4th time we were denied miles due to being current cardholders. I called to see if there was another offer we could have taken advantage of (15,000, 17,500 vs. the 21,000 we applied for) but was told this is across the board. Did not ask about the business card. Was also told that Chase pays United 14 cents per mile...Has anyone done the cancel all cards, re-apply as a non-exising customer yet? Also, does anyone else have experience with the business app. getting miles if you are a personal cardholder? Thanks alot

Surely, you mean 1.4 cents per mile; 14 would be insane.

turtlegirl Apr 24, 2007 12:55 pm

That's what she said- 14 cents, but when I told my husband that he also said that's way too high. Perhaps the CSR said it wrong, or I heard it wrong...
