This has been discussed many times, before, and IIRC the conclusion was that 1Ks and UGSs can use the First Class line, with the presentation of your elite card. I've found that the checkers, now, can just read it off BP. My last flight, out of LAS, the CSR reminded me that 1Ks and UGS can now use the First Class line. I have no doubt they have let 1Ps and 2Ps through, but I doubt that it was the result of official policy, but rather a lack of knowledge or care, on the part of the checkers.

(Well if you have a non-UA/US *G card) If we end up over there we won't have to worry about the lines as I cannot remember ever seeing a real line at those checkpoints.

The A/B gates are filled with HP/US flights and now are being used by WN (eew, the mess for those gates with the cattle call chute lines.). Plus the D gates in the new terminal are much nicer.
And yes, the A/B have first class security lines for elites and first class (and US) has real first class.

The last time I used the D gate as a 2P I was able to go through the first class line, even though traveling on 'RAR' Ted.

recent LAS/TED experience

Travelled to and from LAS yesterday.
UA check-in has separate chickens w/ bag drop counters (moved) a slowly moving standard crowd and a elite line which speed is dependent from the cases negotiated at the counters (I waited 10-15 min).
Bag drop at TSA is no problem because the check-in lines behind you move slowly.
Security is a zoo. There is an ocean of lemmings, sorry- travellers waiting to be screened. Lucky me (1P, Ted to DEN, UA NF from DEN) managed to get into the "First Class" line, however, I slipped in behind the first cerberus and was accepted by the person that checked the ID and bp. Waiting time around 5'.
A collegue of mine had to use the general line but did not complain too much (at max 40').

Ted was OK, had an exit row with free seat next to me both times, at the flight back my row was the only row with a free middle seat (Today, Ted wants you humble 1Ps be comfortable, too!) I could not complain. Maybe this was a RARe experience

Yes, stay to the far left... the sign does just say FIRST CLASS, however as a 1P, I had no problems using that lane earlier in the week. I had my 1P card ontop of my driver's license, and those two cards ontop of my BP.

Yep, the LAS sandwich: ID - status card - TED bp from LAS - F bp for connecting flt.
LAS line 8 - the only security that requires four documents.

Really? I've gone through there with only my Ted BP and never had any problem.

to use the F security line with a TED BP you need to show a 1P card or higher. 2Ps and 3Ps are not allowed, but depending on the TSA minions they may let you through.

note that UnTED had to negotiate this with the airport authority. originally the airport authority said no uniTED passengers in the F line because there was no F on uniTED. In time uniTED was able to negotiate 1Ps and up as a compromise. Note that this line only saves you about 10 minutes on average.

You do not need an F BP for your connecting flight to use the F line. Don't let the TSA robots tell you otherwise.

the TSA folks are not that bright so I've used my expired 1P card several times.

Recent Experience

The lane marked "First Class" is indeed at the far left side of the sea of humanity waiting at the D concourse security screening.

As I walked toward the line on Monday morning at 7 am, TSA guy unhooks the rope and lets 75 or so people from the general line into the elite/first line just as I am approaching. D'oh!

When I get to the ID check line, he sees my gold 1P card and sends me to the crew-only line. ^
