LAS Priority Security Line?

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there is an elite security line at McCarran? According to ual.bomb there is one, but I don’t remember there being one the last time I was there (about a year ago). If there is one does anyone know the elite level needed to use. Also where is the line located. Finally, does the line move any faster then the regular security line?

Yes there is one, I have used it twice this year. As you are walking towards security keep to the far left...it's along the wall. The line is for F class (all airlines) and elites.. I believe 1P and above.. but perhaps someone else can confirm that.

Both times I've used it I have avoided a substantial line.

I, as a 1P, have used it a couple of times. I believe LAS is all TED so no F product.

I have used it at least 5 times. It is the lane to the far left. I believe the lane number is 8.

I can't remember--how is it marked? Since it's not just a UA line, I'd assume it's not marked "Premier Exec" or even "Star Gold" or anything like that which would be specific to United.

I know, as a 2P, I haven't used it, but I can't remember if that's because there was a sign that said I couldn't, or because I just didn't know that I could.

As a 1K (on a TED-with-of-course-no-F), I used the "line to the left" for the first and only time back at the end of April.

Of course, as luck would have it, for the day and time I used it (a Sat, ~2 PM), it was no faster than the regular lines! :(

I've used the line as a 2P

I remember, originally, you have to be a 1K to use the First Class Elite Line but the agents checking I.D. and tickets never really care in all the times I've gone through the line. I have gone through with co-workers who have no status and they were never questioned.

what SEA1K4EVR said but watch the line as in my last 2 trips, the i/d 'n b/p flunkie was letting anyone in the elite line  but fortunately the main linke was wide open so i took that and beat the person in front of me who used the elite line thru security -and that included me getting the full secondary for not removing my shoes as las does not follow tsa sop.

IIRC the line just says FIRST CLASS and makes no mention of elites. But yes elites can use it.

True, but do we think there is any hope that we could end up with UA moving over to the Old America West side of the airport. It would make some sense and possiblly even give us a shot at a lounge to use. (Well if you have a non-UA/US *G card) If we end up over there we won't have to worry about the lines as I cannot remember ever seeing a real line at those checkpoints.

thanks for the info. Probably missed it if it is marked first class.

handicapped/disabled and flight crews are along the far left wall and the f/c line is to the immediate right of it with the general line to the right of that
