No More !!!!
Just flew this AM and was told no more stamping. The Airport was going to fine UA $1000 per person if they stamp tickets. We now can not use the first class line.
The CSA gave me the persons name at McCarren to complain to but I lost my ticket jacket that she wrote it on.
Does anyone know the guys name?

Blame Ua
debua1k -
first of all , based on the link you provide, Hilarie Grey no longer works at the airport - which is true - Additionally, I point my comments to UA - the policy that McCarran has had has been in place for quite some time. Elite passengers are not permitted at the D Gates Security - UA was simply breaking the rules - a fact that I have confirmed with another airline manager at the D- GAtes - I say to address comments to UA because UA was FULLY AWARE of the fact that the move tp TED at LAS would mean that UA would no longer be able to utilize the FIRST CLASS LINE - McCarran's rule was in place prior to the move to TED and all of us who were happily upgraded enjoyed the First Class Line. UA made the decision to go all TED at LAS and felt that the inconvenience/burden of elites not have priority access was a price that they were willing to pay. As I said , the policy was in place and equally applied - it was UA that excluded itself by excluding F class at LAS.

I Should Add....
that I feel your pain. I have begun flying DL a LOT more since the move to TED and have been very lucky with upgrades, thus I am able to breeze through the First Class line at D -Gates. Where I would direct my complaints is the local manager at LAS - have no idea who he/she is. The name may be in another thread somewhere. I would BOMBARD that person with emails and force him/her to get on the phone with corporate. That is our only hope at this point - a TED reversal and the addition of some mainline sanity back at LAS. ESPECIALLY LAS-IAD !!!!!!

The UA manager at LAS has no say at all whether or not UA uses all TED or mainline. To bombard that person will do no good at all.
The fact is that the policy has changed over the last several months several times. For awhile, 1Ks and UGS could get the stamps, then they couldn't, then they could and now they can't. This is because McCarran management has changed their minds several times. Randall Walker is the person to contact to get the priority line to allow elites from UA...
I would also suggest contacting UA Customer Relations to get mainline flights back. I have contacted both.
I guess that I have just lucked out, but the lines have not been bad for awhile at the times I have flown. I fly out on Sunday nights or Monday mornings. I have not waited more that 10 minutes. The real test will be on Tuesday morning after this Labor Day holiday. I plan to arrive a bit early...

Even if UA brings back mainline service, I suspect that LAS will try to crack down on non-FC flyers getting access to the priority line. IMHO the way to fix the problem is to fix the wait at the non-priority line. Perhaps if enough folks complain to the casino's/mayor's office/chamber of commerce and they realize it is costing them visitors (aka money), the city can get the problem fixed. It does seem like the sort of problem that should be fixable by throwing some money at it.

Depending on the day of the week.... 90 minutes should be safe. As someone who does the Thursday night returns from LAS almost weekly, I would suggest Thursday/Friday to add an extra 30 minutes!

I usually fly the afternoon flights, but I've got a 9pm-ish TED on a Sunday night coming up. Anyone know what the lines are typically like then?

I haven't flown on Sunday nights out of LAS for about 3 months, but they were not bad last time I flew them. I have not had a problem in about 6 months with lines at LAS, it is just not good for my ego to stand with the masses... lol
By the way, the lines this morning were, like, non-existant. One person ahead of me in the regular line. That was the day after a 3 day weekend.

Flew out of LAS this Monday morning and was expecting the worse. UA said all flights were full but the new improved security line took less that 20 minutes to get through. I think they have solved the problem....unless a big convention is in town checking out. :-:
