Seat/Class Availability Question
Having moved to the east coast I am going for 1K this year.
Is there a link that I can use to see the number of seats left in each booking class? I read the sticky but it seems to be mostly for viewing award availability. A search of this forum also yielded all award threads.
My laptop is in the shop and I had, I think, a japanese site (?) bookmarked but without my computer I don't remember how to fill in the blanks.
Any suggestions?

When booking an itinerary on united.com, you can see how many seats (up to 9) are currently available in each fare class. To view this, you have to go into your profile, and set your display preferences to advanced.

Question though, I can check this AFTER booking by going to seat selection on an itinerary already booked, correct?

We might be talking about 2 different things here -- there's not always a correlation between what you see on a seat map and what's available for sale, since there can be lots of people without seat assignments.

When booking 2 segments (IAD-LAX-PSP tommorrow), and 3 segments (PSP-LAX-DEN-IAD on Tuesday) only two segments gave me seat choices. And only one choice on each of those at that. So I wanted to look and see what was still selling re taking a bump, maybe going standby on certain legs, etc.
Tomorrow'sLAX-PSP is "VERY" full (quoting PA)
Tuesday's DEN-IAD is "way over booked"
I will try to standby PSP-DEN earlier on Tuesday, then, since I have a very short DEN connect time and probably could never get on a bump list. UNLESS other flights look good for this, in which case I would like to look at what is still selling.
