I am always happy with promotions, but 1,000 bonus miles? Really? I'll probably have 6 RTs during this time-frame. So I'll get 6,000 bonus miles, or, you know, what I get for sending my girlfriend flowers via FTD.

Registered today through my promotions. Mine was a slighly different offer than OP's, I was offered 5,000 miles for First or Business Class (1K here MPD351).

Yes I also got the my promotions alternative with the 5K miles for business travel.

Problem is that I do not know if I can book any RTs on UA during this period. I've got various *A flights coming up and some UA O/W travel but my schedule is so tight I have to go with whoever flies during the particular time I need to go. So doing alot of O/Ws e.g. out on AA and back on UA, or in one case out on VS, back on US.

I would not have seen this had I not read it on FT so thanks for the post.
