I made 1K lite on Oct. 31 - Happy Halloween!
I will become a real 1k for 5th year in a row on Dec 30 when I will hit 100,107 on a flight from KBV-BKK.
Will anyone come closer than this both in terms of miles and date? It makes me a little nervous actually.

I have to go home sometime so I will have another 864 miles and another segment to get to 29229 miles and 38 segments. I will be in PDX in a couple of weeks and I am sure I will segment pad here and be at 42 at the end of that week. I am not traveling next week (my once a month at home). I have only traveled 9 of the 21 weeks this year. But alas, the summer months are upon us. True to form, my Robotic patients are becoming ill and the RobotDoctor must make house calls. I suspect I will make segment 100 around September or October and fly around 90K to 100K domestic miles this year. I should also make MM status sometime mid next year as well.

Very Overdue update:
Made 1K on Labor Day, 2003 BEFORE adding in the 9K "send in three statements" thing.
There were more flights afterwards and more to come. At the current rate I will hit approx. 1.25 "butt in the seat" miles by December 31, 2003 (after one more flight.
No mileage runs. Just fun travel
When you add all the other promos... my mileage balance goes TILT!
At least I'll have miles for First Suites. Someday.
I will have 25K in the can on January 1, 2004 (the 1K rollover bonus.) Already have about 25K actually flight miles booked.
When I grow up, like you Scott the FLyer, I want to be PremEx

I requalified for 1P Premier Exec on 11/19 with 50,099 miles - 50 segments.
That's it for me this year on UA unless there's a fare I cannot pass up before year's end...
Most I've flown on UA the last 4-5 years was 60,000 miles; that was because I was at about 56,000 and only needed one more cheap roundtrip to grab another 4 e-upgrades.

With the 9K gift, I will have 29K and make a solid 2P down from 1K this year. Didn't try to fly anymore with UA mainly because I didn't need to travel as much. Chose AA to retain top-tier for location and because the VIP03 is much better than the SWU. I now live in both DEN and DFW so will see next year what happens. Still planning on AA EXP first, then will see on UA in 2004.
