trying to use e-cert question
I have a 150 ecert that I want to use on a trip for my son and I. I also want to make sure we're on the same pnr so that we can sit in e+ together (he's 5, so sitting apart is not an option).
per the t&C, I have to use the ecert on dotbomb. when I search itins, I plug in the info and the cert number. I get a message saying that, essentially, I have to use it on a single passenger. when I try it again with one passenger, there's not problem.
anyone run into this? how do I get around this?
thanks.

if you are using a cert for one person
you can't have 2 people on the same PNR. Sorry.

I had the same issue when traveling with my wife. I ended up booking us separately and then called the MP support desk. They moved her up into E+ with me.
It took the ICC a while to figure it out, but they were willing to do it and I have to say everyone on the other side of the phone was very pleasant and seemed to sincerely want to help.

If you have status, then you can have someone sit in E+ with you regardless of whether they are on the same PNR; just call to get him moved up. If you just have the E+ Annual, he must be on the same PNR as you.
The other (non-) issue you will encounter is that when you try to buy a ticket just for him, .bomb won't let you buy a ticket for just a 5yo (and no adult traveling with him). I have then entered Master PVDProf as an adult, booked the ticket, and called to have it noted that he and I are traveling together (though this doesn't really do anything). I sometimes worry this approach may in fact not provide much protection for keeping the two of us together in irrops, and therefore there's 1) a reasonable chance I'd have to tell an agent that I'd take whatever irrops option my GM son is given, rather than what I'd normally be offered as 1K (e.g., a UA flight in three days, rather than the CO flight leaving in an hour) and 2) some small chance they'd tell me touch luck with that and I'd have to buy us two tickets on the same PNR later.

I called them before doing anything, they told me what I needed to do, and then I did it.
Although, a couple of them weren't that knowledgeable, but they would go off-line to get the answer (meaning, put me on hold).
Rhapsody in Blue does get a little old after a while.

I told the folks at the gate that were were traveling together and that I didn't want an upgrade, if my name came up (unless they could upgrade both of us).
