ua comps

i am a us airways cp and i've got two transatlantic flights coming up on ua (both booked in b class).

currently, of course, i can't do any better than e+ since the terms of the us/ua alliance don't provide for transatlantic upgrades in any form, as far as i know.

does anyone have any advice or experience regarding the likelihood of getting comped into ua's elite tier, and if so, what options would i have to upgrade these flights?

thanks.

UpgradeMe,

Thanks, but none of those answer the question. I had found all that information already. What I need to know is, once comped to Prem Exec or whatever, what options will I have to upgrade two upcoming international itineraries (booked in b class)?

Getting comped gives you no UG chances at all unless you already have miles, and premier status is not necessary to use them. Inventory is.

It'l upgrades take miles and only on H fares and above. Or certs that you do not get as a 1P or 2P anyway.

That was the second of the two questions in your initial post.
