Was just checking and - yes - got my 1250 starter points too. One thing I wasn't able to work out though - are PQPs earned through Club Card spend going to count towards the 24,000 1K points-only qualification this year? Last year card PQPs only counted for points-only qualification up to Platinum.

I received my 750 email today. A waste as I consider myself a free agent (since 2mil) and have been booking OW and not *A for 1st 1/2 of this year. After the change I find 1K too hard to achieve.

750 PQP for me too. 😳 After many years I am no longer 1K, merely 2MM = Platinum. UA has dropped me, with their increased qualification requirements. 🙁

My starter PQP deposit of 1,250 miles also happened on 2/1. As of the conclusion of my current trip tomorrow, I will be at 6,652 PQP and 18 segments towards 2025 status.

Just made Platinum. Usually have gone for Gold but last year a J saver award redemption to Australia put me over to Platinum.
Never interested in stretching to Platinum, since one of the main benefits I look for is Star Alliance Gold.
Already have 5600 PQP this year and have booked two more J flights which will net me over 8000 more PQP.
So I am set for Gold and probably close to Platinum.
Want to book a couple more flights and for the first time in over 10 years, I'm thinking of booking TATL on AF or KLM instead of UA/Star Alliance.
I could conceivably hit around 24k PQP if I went only Star Alliance. But there's no benefit to accruing miles. The redemptions right now are ridiculous so no need to accumulate tons of miles on one airline. Also have a bunch of Amex MR and Chase Ultimate points. It's going to be hard to redeem those for value unless I pay some ridiculous extortionate prices like 500k or more for a round-trip TATL or TPAC redemption.
