I'm seeing a discrepancy between the PQP and miles listed in my eTicket and what I actually earned for the segment.

For the outbound, which I flew a couple of days ago, it was SFO-FRA-MLA.

I have not gotten any PQP or RDMs yet for the FRA-MLA segment operated by LH yet.

But for SFO-FRA, I got 13,041 RDMs on I believe it was a P-fare. I'm a Platinum this year. And I got 1449 PQPs on that segment.

On my eTicket purchased in January, it shows that I'm suppose to get 21,824 RDMs and 1984 on the UA58 segment, so big gaps between what I was suppose to get according to their own eTicket and what is showing on my MP activity log.

The Total PQP I was suppose to earn for the ticket is about $350 less than the total fare I paid so I know the PQPs aren't going to match the fare price but 1984 vs. 1449 is over 500 PQPs difference.

Anyone run into this kind of gap before?

Wondering how many who didn't make 1K for 2024 are shooting for 1K in 2025?

(Likely most have given up on UA now and going free agent?)

I am at about 9K PQP currently, technically over 50 segments but one third are basic economy (BE) segments. I can easily hit 1K by year-end, but I am just not motivated. I have been buying BE transcon tickets at under 100 PQP each way, and flying other carriers, so I don't have to hit it. 1K experience wasn't great for me, despite using up all of PlusPoints each year.

Outside the FT / reddit / FB FF communities most earn what they earn based on their actual flying. We are a niche and unlikely very representative of the general elite community. At least that is my experience if I happen to get in a conversation with others at conferences, meetings, .... Status is incidental to travel needs.

The increase in travel costs almost negates the increase in earning thresholds.

That is the question of my post: is there anyone on here who dropped down from 1K in 2024 who misses it so much that they are changing their habits to make 1K again for 2025?
Just curious, that's all.
