Great meal!

LAX-HNL - 12 May 2021
777-300

Served a really great “egg pastry” that, even though I can’t tell you exactly what was in it (there were hints of spinach and red pepper), it was extremely delicious!

Served on a tray with a packaged fruit cup and a packaged biscotti (which was very tasty).

Pretzels, Biscoff Cookies and Stroopwafels avail throughout the flight with water in the midsection galley.

Overall great flight.

Times for F&B are generally flight times, not gate to gate (block) times.
However DEN-IAH is above the hub-to-hub 800 miles criteria, after 15 June should improve at meal times, https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unit...alcohol-y.html

Currently the only food service (sandwich / snackbox) for standard domestic F is coded as "snack" — they aren't putting "meal" on any flights other than premium transcon and long Hawaii.

I assume they will update after June 15.

ORD - LAX 7:35pm "Snack". The usual sandwich, although served hot and on a plate. Definitely on the greasy side though.

BYOG for the wine

I hope this is the last time I see this abomination and that they start serving better meals next month. Chicken sandwich. It's gross looking because I took a pic of the greasy bottom.

Now I remove the bread and roll the chicken and cheese up and just eat that. Kinda like a {melted} chicken wrapped cheese stick. Not the classiest thing ever, but neither is the sandwich. Pretty good that way though.

Well, the only choice left was Chicken Breast with rice and veggies. Two entrees are catered and one looks to have run out.

5/19 9am OGG-SFO - choice of spinach kale egg or French toast. Dole peach cup. They didn’t clear the 10-deep upgrade waitlist into the 26 available seats until after boarding started.

It does look good, especially compared to the sloppy, splatter-fest plating of the ravioli ...
