I can't imagine someone flying 1 million miles in a single year with United unless that person is a cabin crew or a pilot.

In prior "normal" years, ua1flyer and others have done over 1MM BIS. However, in 2020, even he was grounded for much of it and there were far fewer opportunities for TPAC/TATL/TOZ-NZ flights on UA unless you had the correct citizenship or other paperwork due to CV-19.

Pretty depressing to see my year-end numbers:

2020 BIS: 13,959 (includes a one-way award ticket AKL-MCI)...Hopefully 2021 is a bit higher; this is the first time since 2004 I have flown so few miles

Nice. It’s a remarkable fare. Were those flights full?

It does look as if those votes were cast mistakenly.

Responding to the poll is a separate activity from responding in the thread

There have been concerns in the past that polls "discourage" / "lower the imperative" to respond in the thread.

The OP was asked if a poll was desired because of this concern

That is a additional concern when you have multiple "similar" simulatanous polls.

Well, if there are at least 4 FTers who flew on UA over 250K this year (and one over 1MM), my hats off to them.

They’ll be easy to spot with those mask-induced facial indentations!

Not sure, but perhaps they are confusing this thread with the other net-BIS one (United Lifetime Flight Miles "BIS" Ranking for the End of 2020).

edit: looks like others saying the same.

Would have been closer to 60K but I switched to RDM after reaching my PQP threshold.

Zero this year. We have two UA flights booked in 2021, which will finally get +1 to 1MM if not canceled.
