I don't get people who get nervous around a CEO or Senior Exec (SVP, etc). They put their shoes on the same way we all do and have to deal with similar realities. Maybe I'm just used to it (not a Sr Exec at my company but I'm writing this sitting in a room with two SVPs).
I've met Oscar twice in person (once on Captain Denny's last flight, then again randomly in the ORD PL), and spoken to him once on the phone (he called me on my 4MM day!).
Each time, I pleaded (nicely!) for UA to establish SFO-BKK on the 787-9. That is all
Given all the recent development, I think it is safe to say that he becomes a PNG for many of us.
He is a corporate officer. So he can't be offloaded. That means I have to go.
What, the new qualification rules? I don't consider that a PNG event at all. It's their business, they can change that any way they want. In fact, I appreciate the transparency - the dollar matters, nothing else does. Reward the people who spend the most with you - I get it. Don't have to like it, but I appreciate being straight-up about it.

No, of course not. That's silly. My boss can fire me. My boss' boss can fire me. My boss' boss' boss can fire me, and the CEO can fire me. The director of HR can fire me. And I'm sure there's a pile of other folks with that kind of veto power, all of whom I work with on a daily basis. Why would I be nervous because someone with a higher title than me is in the room? Everybody poops.
I get nervous about delayed flights that might cause me to miss my son's Little League games. That's what really matters.

That's pretty cool that he called you when you made 4MM. I wonder if he calls every 4MMer? I mean how many 4MM fliers are there?
