789, not 788.

Do they still have Moet in the RCC?

I know the flight departure is in the morning, but in my opinion it is worthy to go to NZ lounge just for wine, especially if you are flying economy - as UA economy service charges $$ for poor quality wines.

Please insist you have a friend to meet etc.
The NZ wines are fantastic.

What lounges would be open and available to a Gold+ status person flying Y.

Which have the best food that time of day/

Now that UA has been inconsistently applying the inherit status "rules" will two people on my award tickets also get into the lounge?
Koru Club, but it is a temporary space right now.

Thanks in advance...will be there next month.
Was never really correct. NZ is better, and no attitude, plus Annie. That said, the NZ lounge is currently in a temporary space.

The question being asked, was about departing Melbourne. So the Koru Club is operating as normal in Melbourne.

In Sydney the Koru Club is currently in an temporary space, and will fully reopen in April.

NZ is currently working though upgrading is Lounge in AKL/MEL/SYD/BNE to same as there LAX *A Lounge that operate in TBIT, Sydney is currently the only lounge that is disputed by the upgrades.

In MEL the SQ lounge wins HANDS DOWN. it is open early before the 11:15am flight, but only about an hour or 2 when the flight departs at 3:15. The Koru lounge is second choice, nut with very nice wines. The UA lounge is a dump, and an overly crowded one at that.
Only problem is you won't hear when they cancel your flight in the other lounges (and chances are they will, the track record hasn't been very good lately)

btw last month they let us right into the SQ lounge with our BPs, but last week the agent insisted in seeing our actual cards. (at least one of them)

Ex-SYD in UA FC lounges

Departing SYD next week in United Global First...have people been getting admitted into SilverKris FC Lounge or not?

Also is the Amex Centurion Lounge accessible in terms of distance from where UA departs? That is an option for me as well..

Will they have United staff in the NZ lounge, like they have (used to have?) in Sydney? It has been a couple of years since I was in the NZ lounge in SYD, but they used to have a dedicated staff for UA passengers. Maybe that will happen in MEL as well?

We were just in MEL last month. Don't remember the name but it was a nice club. Clean, ok food, windows to see out but not much of a view. Check in staff will give you directions.

They use the NZ Koru Club. If *G there's also a SQ club.

I used both last Wednesday. The SQ lounge wasn't open to *G until 7:30am, but was open to SQ members. I used the NZ's lounge for an hour, then headed to the SQ lounge @ 7:30.

Personally, I thought the food offering was better in NZ, but the atmosphere was better in SQ.

Last Tuesday I was directed to the SQ lounge by the check-in counter. I questioned it as I thought they were using NZ, but was told again SQ.

SQ did make boarding announcements for UA99.

That was my experience, too. Agent said they made arrangements that announcements would be made in the SQ lounge for UA flights.
