I believe by reimburse OP may have been asking about hotels and meals while awaiting the flight. OP, do you still want to go to Guam or cancel and return home? You have both options, but unfortunately I believe in the US airlines don't typically provide accommodation and meals for such Multi-day weather delays. Travel insurance is your best bet. You can of course get a refund from United and go back home.
If OP is travelling in J or is a *Gold frequent flyer then yes, United should cover things like hotels, meals, etc. It's a trans-continental flight and falls squarely under the *A rules since weather is considered a controllable delay for VIPs (see Star Alliance manual). However, if you're an ordinary passenger, flying in Y, no status, no nothing then the best UA can do for you is get you back to your origin and refund the cost of the tickets. As others have noted, if it's a trip in vain, then they should get you back to your origin and refund all the airfare costs. Obviously UA is not going to fly a fully loaded 737 into stormy conditions at a remote airport with a small runway which even on sunny days requires a fire truck to be waiting in case the brakes catch on fire!

Safe Travels,

James

The OP stated they were already in HNL, so not an Hawaii inter-island flight.
The OP is from an island other than Oahu, otherwise there's no hotel cost.
The OP is probably heading for a minor island not served by UA. Those small planes fly between a main island (served by UA) and an outer island less than once a week.

OP - What I think you are seeing here is that people are speculating because you have not provided details. Without them it will be very hard to provide any help to you.

1. Where did you start your journey to get to HNL?
2. Is your travel from #1 to HNL to GUM all on one ticket or are there separate tickets?
3. What specific island near GUM are you headed to?
4. Do you have travel insurance (might be on a credit card, but might be separate as well, and might have been purchased through UA when you purchased your ticket).

The bottom line here is that so long as you are stuck at HNL, you are on your own. If you have travel insurance, that is likely to cover your hotel and meals, but you will pay it out and be reimbursed. If your flight to GUM was cancelled, you are due a refund and if the purpose was a funeral meaning that you no longer need to travel, UA will also return you to the place your UA ticket started (back to the question of whether you are on one or more tickets).

We should give OP the breathing room to send these details so that the advice can be as helpful as possible.

UA201 left for GUM with empty seats, so presumably the OP is in flight.
