ERJ-145

As a frequent IAH regional traveler I have seen more 45s of late (vs 175 which seemed to be more prevalent in early ‘18). Any word on when this aircraft will be phased out?

N17963 sked to exit XMN maint 2744/28Jan

Interesting on FR24 is the photo for the new 39M N37513.
N37513 was previously used to a DC6 and a photo in 1962 at LAX is shown on the below link. I'm sure that photo will be removed when the 39M takes a B1 flight, so click the below link for some nostalgia and the huge difference between 1950's and 2019 technology.

It won't; or, if it were, you wouldn't like the results -- the ERJ-145 is much nicer than the CRJ-200.

UA is already at the limit of the number of 76-seat aircraft it can operate under its contract with the mainline pilots' union. While they've talked about replacing some 50-seat flying with 76-seat flying, they're limited by airframe capacity. Even if they weren't, not all markets can support the larger aircraft; for those that can, demand is often seasonal. You may see the -175s come back onto your routes as summer approaches.

Nobody seems to be building new 50 seaters. When do these CR2 and E145 frames start having too many cycles?

Thanks for the great explanation. It is really unfortunate as I enjoy the 175, 145 not ao much 😩. Hopefully the 175s will be back at some point but as of now all flights through June are 145s.

FlightGlobal is reporting that the first 763 High J will exit HKG “mid February”. It was planned for 18th January but delayed. I’m thinking at least some of the delay was in getting FAA certification due to the shutdown?

Not shown on FlightAware, but N217UA sked to exit XMN to SFO as UA2754 on 2/3 12.05am HKT, with Polaris/P+.

Then sked to fly UA995 SFO-ORD on 2/2 at 11.15pm (PST).

That's a 6.5 week retrofit.
