This is actually wrong - LH's boarding process has no meaning here as EW has only two boarding groups, Smart Fares plus SEN/FTL in Group 1, Basic in group 2. UA*G are considered equally qualified as FTL/SEN for group 1, yet the system does not reflect that because it cannot see your status with UA. Just bring your card (from the app) during boarding, and you should be allowed to board with Group 1.
