Saw Quentino Tarantino in the SFO Polaris Lounge on the 7th. He was pleasant to the staff who must have recognized him but were only very slightly fawning. Seeing how it was 6:30 a.m., the PL had no hot food (hot buffet starts at 7? And restaurant section at 7:30 a.m.), so I bailed and went to the UC because I like my sausage and eggs with a crowd. I have no idea where he was headed as he didn't seem to be on my flight to IAD.

Weirdly, Tarantino is the celebrity I've run into more than any other. Once at (the late, lamented) Dave's Video in Studio City and another time at the Park Hyatt Sidney. But really, I'm not stalking him.

Glenn Youngkin (VA Governor) In IAD Polaris Lounge w/ staff and security. (Lounge was already slammed). Greeted the desk agent warmly they obviously knew each other. I had no idea who he was but overheard the name and photo matched.

Alas never had a celeb sighting on UA but years ago was in a first class cabin on AA with Muhammad Ali. Despite being very limited by Parkinson's, he was such an amazingly kind man who had captain make announcement that any children who wanted to come up could have a picture taken with him.

Ran into celebrity chef and philanthropist Jose Andres headed down T7 at LAX this morning. Exchanged a few pleasantries; he's a really nice guy.

ETA: also ran into Rep. Kevin McCarthy on UA 1104. Seemed nice enough; guess you have to be when you're a politician.

ummm. McCarthy is no longer a politician as he resigned from Congress. He doesn't have to be nice any more.

Speaking of hub-captive, Ginuwine lives in Denver. I saw him once at DEN north security checkpoint a few years ago. Not sure which airline he was flying.
