Boeing 767-300 Version 2 (30/184) - Polaris non-HD
30 Polaris 46 E+ 138 E-

AeroLOPA view: https://www.aerolopa.com/ua-boeing-76a

AVOID Polaris:
7A, 7L does not have a window.

Recommended E+ seats:
21DEF (middle seats) have extra legroom as an emergency crossover row. Note that 21AB and KL have limited recline.
22AB and KL have extra legroom but may be cold.
40AB, 41AB are crew-rest seats. If available (usually T-24), they have a footrest and extra recline.

Everything You Want to Know About Where to Sit on a 767-300 (30/46/138)- Polaris seat

Did we ever figure out what Polaris will look like in the 767? I thought I read that the Polaris seat is density neutral to the Diamond seat, so it will have an almost identical seat count in J and Y. If that's true, I am interested to see whether they can do Polaris in a 1-1-1 configuration and keep that density or whether it will alternate in a 1-2-1 and 1-1-1 configuration.

Based on width comparison with the IPTE seat, I assume it is 1-1-1 on the 767.

That's what I would expect. Pretty easy to visualize. (And some will call it a 2-2-2 layout, based on the overlap, just as some call the 1-2-1 on the 77W a 2-4-2.)

That's generally the case, but if they schedule the mods concurrent with heavy maintenance visits it takes a bit longer. United has been known to do multiple retrofit lines with major projects but considering the smallish 763 fleet I suspect it'll be one at a time, nose-to-tail (next ship comes in when preceding one leaves). With the 777s, since there are more of them, we may see multiple mod lines.

Once up and running I am thinking the target will be to complete a reconfiguration in 6-8 weeks, per ship.

HD in Y?

These currently have the best Y layout in the fleet.

In the context of that post I just meant the nose of the incoming airplane for mod will be following right on the tail of the outgoing ship... but since you asked, I understand the Polaris 767s will get the same Y seats as the 76E and 764, with new IFE hardware and updated leather seat covers, carpets, bulkheads and pivot bins throughout. The Recaro Y seats from the 90s (and tiny PTV) will be history.

2-3-2 stays, though.

So this will be a nice aircraft to fly, nose to tail.

Would be great for premium t-cons.

763 is heeeeere. 10 rows of 1-1-1 (with the center section being paired and not singles like the pmCO J), and a teeny tiny E+ cabin.

Ok, I guess not that teeny. Only three fewer seats than present.

Thanks!

I would call that 1-1-1. The center seats are not adjacent to one another, they overlap. Same as the current sCO configuration in the middle (the overlap is what kills the footwells).

The center row of odd seats are labeled "F" 1F 3F 5F and so on the even seats are labeled "D" 2D 4D 6D and so on. Also looks like 22DEF has loads of legroom (No 21DEF) FA crew rest moves to the back of the plane 40AB 41AB.

Note that the J seat size is listed as 3 inches shorter and 2.4 inches narrower than the 77W.

It is also 1" shorter albeit 1.8" wider than the current PMUA J seat. Same listed dimensions as PMCO J seat.
