Note reports are PQDs can be a bit strange in this case as the agreement between airlines will determine the ticket costs.
Question on premier status. Currently I have no UA status, however I have enough non-refundable flights purchased through June that once flown will get me to silver status. Is there any chance UA for a fee or free will grant me silver status based on flights already booked? ....
However, as you get closer, you can try but expect a "sorry not yet."

I would imagine you'd have to fill in your respective elite account number to either itinerary but seems likely you'd at least get PQM/PQS on given airline flown. PQD might be 0 (not sure how they usually book these fares)

Hi there! I usually travel AA so trying to navigate UA for a trip in Sept and could use some help. I don't have status, and I'm looking to book 2 nonstop saver seats in F class (AUA-EWR). I booked the outbound as soon I saw business saver availability.
Is there some alert or way to learn that seats have opened up, besides constantly checking? Any way to circumvent UA and go through partners? I tried on partner sites without any luck, maybe there's a particular transfer partner that can book over the phone? I have 60K tied up in United miles, so the F saver rate would be ideal.
Thanks for any tips

Believe for AUA-EWR, UA is the only *A (Star Alliance) choice (non-stop or not).
Partner options would be higher mileage if they existed.

IAH to Munich in July: no discount fares
I'm trying to get from Houston to Munich for an event that is July 5. When I go to United, the only coach fares that exist are flexible economy, which runs at about $2800. Same thing on Lufthansa. Only way to get there for a normal amount on star alliance is by way of Warsaw on LOT. I thought maybe it was a Munich-specific issue, but the same thing happens when I try to fly into Frankfurt.
Will regular coach fares open up later? There are currently 60,000 mile saver awards, so I could book that and cancel if a cheap paid ticket arises.

Without Plat or higher status you will have to pay a redeposit fee for award travel IIRC.

Thank you, EmailKid. I'll be gold once I transfer over some EQMs, so the fee won't be too bad 60 days out. I'll go ahead and book the reward in case something shows up in the interim.

Your Club Card preqs are only applicable to UA operated flights, without Star Alliance recognized status or premium cabin seat, you will get no recognition from other airlines.

Inventory on 4/9
Does anyone have any idea why inventory is so bad for everything east coast-SFO on 4/9? PS seems extremely full for almost a month out (selling U fares mostly), IAD is already $420+, etc. Is there some sort of SF event going on? (trying to work out whether to buy now or hold till T-21 days)

Sorry for not doing a more thorough search. My question is this- How many PQM's should I earn after upgrading an H fare with a GPU? Does that qualify as a business class ticket? Looks like it's now a "R" class ticket.
Thanks for the help.

You won't get any extra PQM's for upgrading with a GPU. Will still get the same. It is an upgraded ticked, not a true business class ticket. R gets no bonuses.
