Original poster reporting - they fixed the map/nav system, now we're holding for the ground stop.

Groundstop should have expired four minutes ago... you on your way now?

BTW @steved5480, where do you find the groundstop info online?

UA875 just took off and UA954 pushing back. Is there still a ground stop?

So my son flew #1271 from SAN-SFO. Landed on time at 8:30 but didn't get to a gate until 9:45 - same issue?

Indirectly. SFO is gate-constrained, so a bunch of departure delays (due to this issue) means that arriving aircraft have nowhere to park.

That explains it. Flight aware kept saying he landed on time at 8:30 but UA never updated until 9:45. Can't see a reason on the phone app and can't log in from computer

Oct 13, 2016 UA Master computer down?
Currently boarded UA1447 SFO-EWR Scheduled at 21:55, captain just announced the master computer is down and won't allow us to leave gate. I tried to call 1k line and seems phone system is down too.
Several minutes ago UA website and app stopped working as well.

Update, captain confirmed systemwide ua flight ground, said system is expected back to normal at 2330 PST. I am sure I will miss my connection now..

Yep, everything is currently down. Website, app, phones, the works.

@blueman2, the glitch in that news article is actually an earlier glitch. Only weight and balance computer was down. Now the mainframe looks like it's crashed.

Not a good day.
