Really hope to see some domestic, don't think I have the time off to swing getting on the final flight. J fares ex-ICN are reasonable though for anyone looking.

According to Routesonline:

Star Alliance member United Airlines within the last 20 minutes gradually updated winter 2017/18 schedule, mainly focusing on the 747-400 service retirement. Based on the current update (for the weekend of 20JAN17), United currently schedules last 747-400 service in late-October 2017.

Previously planned 747-400 service will be replaced by 777-200ER (except Shanghai by 787-9). Effective date for the replacement aircraft operation listed below is based on US departure.

eff 05OCT17
San Francisco – Shanghai Pu Dong (UA857/858; this was reflected in previous schedule update)

eff 28OCT17
San Francisco – Beijing
San Francisco – Frankfurt
San Francisco – Taipei Taoyuan
San Francisco – Tokyo Narita

eff 29OCT17
San Francisco – Seoul Incheon

Tentatively scheduled as last 747 service, the 747 departs San Francisco on 28OCT17, Seoul Incheon on 29OCT17. This is set as tentative partially due to aircraft listing discrepancy on San Francisco - Taipei Taoyuan for 27-29OCT17).

United's seasonal 747-400 San Francisco – London Heathrow operation during summer, is scheduled until 27OCT17.

Note the airline's final 747-400 scheduled service remains subject to change, pending on future delivery of 777-300ER and other aircraft type.
may add this to the top.

Just purchased some r/t tickets to fly the 744 every three day weekend I can get until October. Certainly the end of a magnificent era. Being from GUM, my passion for commercial aviation began on Pan Am's 747, then to NWA's, then to Continental/Continental Micronesia. I'm going to enjoy every moment of it - all of you who love the 744 should do the same.

I have 4 more chances to ride in the fat pointy end of a 747, rt TPE end of May and LHR/FRA beginning of Sept.

I fear that the new UA Oct flight schedule is just best case for the 747. They will not retire more than 10 at the end Oct, rather much earlier as opportunity allows.

I think my rt TPE in May is safe. LHR in Sept is high risk of losing. FRA fair risk of losing. I do look forward to riding a new 77W, but not a 777-200 if that is the replacemenr.

I have about 10 flights left on the 744 before end of October, and will treasure every moment of it.

My TPE-SFO flight is in early June...do hope that is safe as well, even though I would not mind getting the full hard product Polaris experience on the 77W.

While it is sad the 744 is leaving, I have had more than a few memories and it is forever burned into my memory. It was THE plane. But moving forward it is too unpredictable. I will stick with the 763/4 and the the 77W and the sCO 772's. RIP Queen of the skies!

Kind of a dud. I forgot that H&N is the shorter 3-5min pieces and not a dedicated hour program.

Agreed, quite a dud of a segment.

I'm pretty sure that my last flight on a UA 747 concluded yesterday. It was a great ride, as always, with a graceful, almost imperceptible touchdown on SFO's runway 28L. I toasted my parting of ways with this fine airliner with a glass of champagne accompanying my pre-arrival snack. Polaris does make it possible to celebrate the end of an era in some style (at least compared to the preceding on-board embarrassments).
