FAQs
Are all flights on these routes lie-flat, etc?
Yes -- all non-stop flights from SFO/LAX to/from EWR and SFO<>BOS are configured as such regardless of aircraft used. All scheduled aircraft have a lie-flat premium cabin.

Are these CPU-eligible flights?
No -- no CPU on these flights. It will take RPU/GPU/mileage+copays to upgrade. Generally, these are "hard" upgrades.

Are TODs / Cash upgrades offered?
Yes, $298 cash OW upgrades are regularly offered.

Is GFL access for united PS business still a thing for global services?

Edit: just got in at SFO. Looks like it is indeed still a GS benefit

R space found for mid-day August flight

I've been searching for an LAX-EWR flight for sometime between Aug 4-8 for a few weeks now. I even put a 7-day hold on a flight that expires today. Instead I found the rarest of rare things pop up today - "R" space on a 1:45pm flight for August 8. And with a "low" $212 economy fare to boot. I booked it after the initial shock wore off. I haven't seen ps "R" space on anything but nighttime snack flights in awhile, especially this far out.

I am not sure the baby can be in the hatch during takeoff and landing but it looks quite comfortable, with a mesh hammock style thing. Added bonus if said baby acts up, you can close the hatch and lock it in there.
I just wanted to double check in this thread --

Does anyone know for sure whether the sUA p.s. 757-200 (28J) has bassinets in some or all of the bulkhead seats?

United's description for the equipment ( https://www.united.com/web/en-US/con...0/default.aspx ) doesn't list any "fixed bassinets" but I guess the funny little pouch isn't exactly "fixed" in the traditional sense of a box that attaches to the exterior bulkhead wall.

I see some discussion about this at https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/25273543-post33.html ,
https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/26330594-post467.html , and
https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/26340370-post473.html .

It seems from photos of the 28J UA bulkhead (http://i.imgur.com/DyZLHYM.jpg) that the bulkhead has the same setup as the sCO 772 bassinet hammock (photos at https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/16165515-post3.html ) -- but it's not 100% clear since UA doesn't list it.

Seatguru asserts without evidence that the sUA 28J 757 has bassinets at 1AB and 5AB bulkheads (left hand side only) although the photo I've seen of the 28J equipment shows one at 5EF. Any ideas whether this exists and which seats are best to use it?

(I reached out to UA via Twitter and they said that they added an infant to our record and annotated it with a bassinet request but didn't exactly confirm that the 757 actually has the appropriate hardware.)

I know this is kind of an obscure thing to dig into; we're learning about new UA features!

Is it a hot breakfast on early AM flights? I can't remember the last time I had eggs in coach.

And yet despite that undeniable fact, with our mighty brains we were able to discern that OP was referring to Economy Plus.

I had read that, in addition to food in E+, alcoholic beverages would now be included as well "The meal will include a hot fresh entrée, dessert and fruit, a pre-arrival snack and alcoholic beverages." -- I was charged for drinks on both legs of SFO-EWR this week. Anyone know what the deal is?

I'd ask for a refund. The press release was pretty clear - except that there is no true "start" date in July.

Did you ask for a "double" ? -- some reports that only "single", and "doubles" will be charged.

What kind of "alcoholic beverage"?

Did you raise the issue with the FA? What was the response?

I ordered a tito's and soda - when I was asked for payment, I mentioned free drinks, and they responded "only 1k". Figured I had misread the new e+ perks.
