Current offer through September 30, 2020. : (modified terms)
Save up to 40% on base rates*
Earn up to 1,250 1,000 MileagePlus award miles

Corporate Discount Code (CDP) 62455, Promotional Coupon (PC) 204508 and MileagePlus number required for this offer

Limited-time offer: Now through January 31, 2018, when you book a mid-size or larger car with Hertz through united.com, you'll earn 1,500 bonus award miles in addition to the miles you normally earn, for a total of up to 2,750 miles. You MUST go to the united.com landing page first, then click onto the Hertz offer from there. Going straight to Hertz.com could result in Hertz denying you the bonus miles.

Be sure to provide discount code (CDP) 62455, PC#305023 and your MileagePlus number at the time of reservation.

MileagePlus members receive the following benefits:

Save up to 40% on the base rate* of each qualifying Hertz rental with discount code (CDP) 62455
Earn more MileagePlus award miles for each qualifying paid Hertz rental by providing a MileagePlus number when making a reservation or picking up a rental
MileagePlus Premier® members as well as primary cardmembers of the United MileagePlus Club and United MileagePlus Presidential PlusSM Cards can enroll to receive complimentary Hertz Gold Plus Rewards elite status.

T&Cs can also be found in the link above.

Screenshot of the actual email (less personally identifying information and the T&C's at the end of the email) can be found HERE.

Timing:

Initial Posting (500 miles) within 3-4 days of the trip. (some report 24 hours)
Bonus Posting (Premier Miles) within 7-8 days of the trip.
Additional Miles Posting within xx-xx days of the trip.

Retroactive mileage credit:

There have been many data points of car reservations made through United.com not properly crediting to the member's MP account. To obtain retroactive credit follow the link on the Hertz.com homepage under Customer Support named "Frequent Traveler Credit". Input your appropriate account and reservation details and you'll receive a response back from Hertz within 3-5 business days. Allow at least seven days after rental return before requesting the credit. This works for obtaining both the base mile credit and whatever bonus your status level entitles you to, e.g. GS/1K bonus, etc.

Should I assume that following United's link will get me only to rental offers and car classes that qualify?
Standard is one of the sizes that should qualify for the offer.

On another note - has anyone seen anything about an offer (maybe not this generous) being extended? I have a trip in January, and before making any car reservations, it would be nice to know if there are any bonus offers.

Because of this offer, I got a United Chase card, but obviously don't have the offer.

Can someone send me a PM to exchange e-mail address so I can read the small letters of the offer...

Anyone else notice that UA's site prices out much higher than what Hertz site show with same CDP and PC? I booked a few that showed as $80-100 on UA, but when I went to hertz to check the reservation showed $40-50 for the same reservations (e.g. exact same confirmation numbers).

I've made the comparison a number of times and haven't experienced a price differential. In fact when I rebooked recently based on the new offer, I ended up with a lower price.

Interesting. Mine isnt even rebooking. Its literally just showing different prices for the same reservation (same confirmation number) on UA vs. hertz. Guess I will just have to see what happens during my next rental, but I suspect that Hertz confirmation would be correct.

Well looks like you get charged the price quoted by UA (if diff than hertz) - maybe to offset the bonus miles or something. Not a huge difference for this test ($30 difference), but good to know that it happens sometimes. I sent a twitter message to Hertz and they offered to refund the difference but didn't know what why would do this either.

I completed my second trip yesterday using Hertz under this program. I'll be curious to see if the big bonus miles appear.

I did get 2K (500 + 1500) miles for the first rental, not enough time for the second rental to show yet.

OK - I haven't received anything for the second rental yet, but my full bonus showed up today for the first one. So I did receive a total of 5,500 miles for one two-day rental. I should be seeing the miles for the second rental within a couple of weeks.

Not a bad offer at all!

It was the code from the e-mail, and was automatically input when I booked through United with my link from the email. Here's part of the text from the email:

Book now and watch your miles add up:

1,000 MileagePlus® award miles per rental
+ 1,500 bonus award miles every time you rent a mid-size or larger vehicle
+ An extra 3,000 bonus miles on each of your next two rentals as a MileagePlus Chase Cardmember
Rent twice between now and December 31, 2016, to earn up to 11,000 miles.
To be eligible for this exciting offer, you must book through united.com with your MileagePlus number and use discount code (CDP) 62455 and promotion code (PC) 305023.

United promises triple miles, Hertz doesnt deliver

Anyone else used the UA site to book the triple miles offers on Hertz?

Made a booking earlier this year, Hertz ducked and weaved and eventually flat out refused to deliver the miles.

Stupidly booked Hertz again in July on the same triple miles offer, guess what, same crap from Hertz, miles will come in 6 weeks, miles coming soon, just wait, sorry cant help you, too bad.

UA says complain to Hertz, Hertz says complain to UA, enough of this stinking runaround, avoid both in future

A DOT complaint re United?

I recently filed a complaint online with that state's Attorney General's office against another rental car company and the result was very satisfactory.

I would also post to United's and Hertz's Twitter accounts and keep doing so until something satisfactory was done.

Sounds to me like Hertz is the more likely culprit.

I had a rental in ATL from 10/1-10/3. I got 500 miles for the rental and the 1,500 United.com booking bonus a few days later. Yesterday, the 3,000 miles for being a Chase card holder and 500 mile Premier Silver bonus showed up ^

Concur. When I had similar issues the Hertz Twitter rep got the bonus points posted.

That said, I would expect United to take some responsibility for the folks it endorses as its partners.
