Planes, lounges and service are far behind LH (and most European airlines) so UA has a long way to go. 757s are particularly tired but due to go so for the time being for Europe 763s become the standard except for Scotland and Ireland where 757s prevail until an alternative is agreed..........

Would be ideal for BHX, MAN, EDI, DUB to get 763 also. That would free up more 757 for domestic

Do any 767-300's (such as the one I am flying on from AMS to EWR) have AVOD in Y+?

The 2-cabin ones have AVOD the 3-cabin ones have looping entertainment.
Some of the 3-cabin 763s also have personal device entertainment (PDE).

All economy seats (Y+ and Y-) on that 767 for the EWR-AMS flight have the old looping entertainment. Channels and buttons are fixated in the armrest and have to be pressed rather firmly.

I have noticed in the schedule UA is now using the 757 on this route on certain days and most of May of 2016. I did not notice this in the past.
