How about a summary for those who are not subscribed to WSJ? The initial blurb seems to be talking about the change in earning mileage, which we already know about

There's at least one person quoted in the article who sounds REALLY smart

Just select the whole headline (click & drag), then Google it...voila, behind the paywall

if you don't have a wsj subsciption, just google "frequent fliers hunt for loopholes" and click the first result. that gets you through the paywall.

Yes, but it also touches on the time bomb of how the partners are going to be folded into the $ amount, also...granted, WE know most of this but it appears that there is something lurking in the undercurrent that will screw us even further on partner flights!

They're going to do just what they did with earnings on COPA tickets. Significantly reduced earning percentages based on fare class, no premier bonuses.

And you know they are not going to reduce the net price to their partners for the miles accrued on partner flights, as that would undercut the whole purpose of the new scheme. That's really going to make for happy partner relations - fewer miles, same price.

Didn't work for me - all relevant results appear to redirect right to the paywall.
