I agree that's a good guess, but it's horrid planning on UA's part as when they inevitably mis-post miles, there's very little margin to fix the problems (yeah, I know when fixed, the fixes will be retroactive).

Or maybe that's their plan! Then they can push $1/mile Premier Accelerator purchases and "Oh, you were SOOOO close!" buy-ups or hope pax book a last-minute trip.

with 60K PQM in the bank and only 4400 PQD, i'm eagerly awaiting my January 1st email offer to buy the remaining $600 PQD for a paltry $1500
