This is the thread to use for posting your sightings of celebrities/notable/newsworthy public figures while travelling. Here are a few ground rules:
  • The sighting must occur either on a United flight (or related regional/express carriers) or at a UA terminal.
  • Comments about individuals sighted by others should be kept to a minumim to keep the thread reasonably easy to follow during the year.

Here are links to older threads:

"Dog" the bounty hunter, his wife, and his "posse" were coming off LAX-DEN 1656 while I was waiting to board group1 for our three-hour-delayed DEN-IAH 1656 Wednesday evening. His wife thanked and hugged me (which is a feat in and of itself) and we spoke for about 45 seconds. She seemed very geniune and nice compared to what folks told me she is like on TV. He is shorter than he looks on TV but has the same hair, look, and "vibe".

...if you consider them celebs LOL

P.S. and big thanks to UA for, as the FA told us, "Not catering meals in F for this delayed flight, but ya'll got snacks". We were then given the choice to wait for food, or continue on with our 3+ hour delayed flight. I know the delay was due to the Charlie Foxtrot in LA.

I like 'Dog',but really can't tolerate his wife (at least on TV).

Yeah, Everyone said the TV made her out to be bad (I haven't really watched but did find some old shots online).
In person she was really nice and "normal". He was kind of put-offish and spastic. YMMV lol

I was in uniform after leaving a shindig late at the Academy and since I was there near the door she came over and "found me" before she walked out to the terminal.

I tend to always find the "odd" celebs LOL

Numberz

Number of first post on or after May 1:
2014 - 78
2013 - 93
2012 - 87

Personally, I'd chalk it up to normal variation.
