This is the thread to use for posting your sightings of celebrities/notable/newsworthy public figures while travelling. Here are a few ground rules:

The sighting must occur either on a United flight (or related regional/express carriers) or at a UA terminal.
Comments about individuals sighted by others should be kept to a minumim to keep the thread reasonably easy to follow during the year.

I'm surprised he took UA as he usually flies DL. I've had the pleasure of flying with him on PBI-ATL before last year.

Likely because Delta doesn't fly SEA-DEN and I really can't picture him flying WN or F9.

Tom Selleck - Saturday, April 19 on UA274, JFK-LAX. He was in 1E and I was in 3E. He was friendly and chatted to those around him. Escorted on board by two UA employees, one of whom loaded his luggage in the overhead bin.

Sully Sullenberger on UA 560 today IAD-SFO. Got to meet him shortly before departure - what a humble gentleman. He truly exemplifies the best of aviation.

And yes, the crew - pilots and FA's - stopped by to chat with him.
