You will get 6 GPU and 2 more RPU, so that made it worth it. You don't get those automatically by being GS but by passing 100,000 miles or 120 segments.

Got the happy news today...would have been surprised if not, given 250K PQMs and 70K+ spend. Will pass 3.9MM on my flight to Oslo for New Years, so hopefully by next year, I'll have reached the promised land of GS for life (at least til they change the rules!).

Correct. There might be even a final sweep in early Jan.

I got the e-mail yesterday stating that I made it for 2014
I was very happy and relieved. My spend was $41k and my PQM total was 126,000. I thought I might come up a little short but was glad I did not.
Was the lowest number for qualifiers $40k? Did anyone under that figure make it or did anyone over that not make it?

Was just renewed after my first year at UA. Stats:
315k PQM
130 Segments
81k Spend - all Z/P/A international Business Class with some Y,W,V fares
This is about 70% of my total travel and really questioning if I did the right thing as the service decline in the past year is stunning. I am still CP with US and ran from their acquisition of AA, but now I'm not so sure given the service downgrades in Asia... For the most part status isn't a big deal given my travel profile but during IRROPS it's a life saver. Will remain optimistic - but keep my eyes WIDE open...

I guess I won't make it…………will end the year with 90k PQM, all on Business, most of it to Africa and Europe from Central America. Started flying on UA July1, 2013. Thought I might have a chance. So 90K Z class in 6 months.
I guess I should consider going back to AA.
