I have received 2 emails. One generic on December 14th, and one personal on December 21st. They are posted below. I deleted my name and account number from the personal one.

It is more about the amount of $$ you spent on United not about how many EQMs. The lowest reported $ so far is $42k. If you spent more than that, you should have a good shot.

$44k spend
94k PQM
Mostly YBM domestic with a few big international trips (all C,J), but a lot less travel this year than normal.
Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised.

Received email today renewing GS for my second year (this year was my first year). I was 1k for 5 years prior to that.
Total 2013 spend: ~$60k-$65k
2013 PQM: 139,418
LAX hub
about 45-50k of spend was from full or discounted BF fares (on 2 cabin planes, 777 and 787) and Bus fares (on 3 cabin, 747) on int'l flights. all on UA metal. Most of my domestic fares were Y or M.

I was also re-invited. I did 184,000 PQM spend around $45k mostly from January - July on LATM, EU and SFO flights.
I moved from ORD to BOS at the end of June this year so ended up doing another 180,000 on LH and credited those into Miles & More. It really sucks not having a UA metal option from Boston Logan to Europe. I was not expecting to re-qualify when I started solely flying LH & LX to Europe in July.
I found this this re-qualify email a very nice surprise and Christmas present from SMI*J.

Seems like all new & re-invites went out at the same time this year, so kudos to UA.
I was re-invited as was my boss. A good friend also got his first time invite, all around the same time yesterday. All at very different spend/mileage levels.
Seems safe to say that if you didn't get the invite last night you're not getting it.

I also received a re-qual email last night.
In case anybody is cutting the data, my stats for the year:
~125k EQM (~87k BIS) and 50 PQS (38 BIS)
~$60k total spend, incl taxes/fees/etc
~$50k air-only spend
All United metal, except for 6 short-haul intra-Europe legs on LH.
