i never realized there is no direct IAD-HKG whatsoever. CX even flies to BOS now - i know OW has stronger presence there (and massport is throwing around subsidies like water to any int'l airline), but one would think that DC/nova would have higher O/D demand.

head scratcher.

IAD-HKG is too close to EWR-HKG.

Maybe it might work with an 787-8, since UA wants no competitors when it flies routes.

CX flies EWR-HKG as well! I think UA could make IAD-HKG work with a 787, but I'd rather see them use the equipment for SFO-BKK or SFO-DEL/BOM/BLR.

SFO-BKK, or anything to BKK.

Looking through the comments this seems to be a very popular request.

I agree. Although as a Chicago resident the seasonal daily non-stop service to MTJ is a nice consolation.

Can't believe they don't have SFO-BKK.

I thought they didn't because TG flew it. Apparently they don't!

No, they flew BKK-LAX, but they stopped that a couple years ago. They "substituted" that with ICN-LAX, but they halted that this month.

I'd pretty much pay anything for BKK-EWR, but... that ain't gonna happen.

That makes no sense at all to not go SFO-BKK (no competition) but go ICN-LAX when an partner (OZ) will fly an A380 into LAX

Yes - I think this seems like a no-brainer to me. Getting to BKK from the west coast is a pain and I feel like there is ample demand. Does anyone have any insight on why they canceled the flight?

$$$$$

Low premium yields.

I vote for LAX-FRA again, GUM-PPT, and the return of IAD-KWI. Also, IAD-JNB when SA eventually suspends the route.

HNL to SEA (a former route that will never return given Delta and Alaska booting UA from SEA for other than spoke to hub routes

Highly unlikely, but as someone who's stuck in Y for a while yet, SFO-ZRH in a 767 would be nice (not quite sure that has the range for this route though?).

LX do serve that with A340s at the moment, they aren't too bad comfort-wise, but I still prefer E+ in a 767. Next year they're switching to 777 (with 3-4-3), which I'd prefer to avoid if at all possible.

I'd love UA to fly EWR-JNB and/or EWR-CPT themselves, but I guess that won't happen!

I'd really like to see IAH-ACY and EWR-CAE. Both would be highly profitable.
