What Route(s) do You Wish UA Flew? [Archive thread]

My vote is for IND-SFO to connect to the transpac flights. After that, IND-LAX for the same reason, then IND-SAN.

Before the DL/NW merger, IND was an NW focus city. DL killed most of those flights, but several of them were quite useful. I'd love to see UA put a little Focus on Indy and offer these, even if only using RJs:

IND-MCI
IND-STL
IND-SAT
IND-AUS
IND-SEA

And then, for personal reasons, it would be awesome if UA would fly IND-SAV, even just a Saturday flight Apr-Oct.

More intra-Asia flights out of NRT will be nice...selfishly speaking.

NRT-China flights will be nice.

KCMH to EBLG - Direct, please

Of course that would be on United's new Gulfstream G650 service.

+1. ALSO would be nice to bring back the Miami hub for S American flights. IMHO that was UA's finest hub. Besides all 747/767/777 service to Brazil, Argentina, Chile & Peru they also had 3 cabin WB service from MIA-LAX/SFO/DEN/ORD/IAD & LGA (they used a few 727's as well.

What else

JFK-LHR/NRT would be nice again. As faras new service. Any hub to JNB would be great (yes, I'm aware of all the people that say JFK is not necessary since the EWR hub handles those routes but I disagree. I won't fly out of EWR unless I'm forced to. If I fly between the UA-Europe I take LX/LH out if JFK. To Japan ill take PS to the West Coast. Ill do anything to avoid EWR and I'm not alone. Many Manhattan business people feel the same way (there is a reason why DL is taking the transcontinental business right out from under UA's nose

Agreed. (1) IAH is great for West Coast to South America but not so great for many East Coast to South America routings. (2) BA (and soon DL via VS code share) both offer EWR-LHR and JFK-LHR. No reason UA couldn't do it (other than LHR slot availability?), perhaps using p.s. birds for JFK-LHR. Furthermore, doesn't DL serve AMS and CDG from both EWR and JFK?

JFK or EWR to KIX. I am originally from Western Japan and every time I go back there these days, I have to connect in Tokyo. This limits my flight options because there are some which arrive very late in Tokyo (thereby impossible to get a connection via train or plane) and on the way back leave very early from Tokyo (impossible for me to get there on time unless I stay in the city the night before)

pmCO ran DEN-LGW for many years before they dehubbed, and pmUA tried a seasonal DEN-LHR briefly. It would be nice if they could have another go to see if the combined network can support it. And if that works, maybe they can try CLE-LON again... Perhaps they could try resuming some service to LGW if they are out of slots? Running one destination (CLT) out of LGW seems to work for US. In my humble opinion, both the airlines and their customers need their heads examined for preferring LHR - it would be great to have some more choice out of LGW!
