What Route(s) do You Wish UA Flew?

Since its wish, I'd love to see den/mle ( Maldives). I would even settle for only once per week on a 747, lets make it a Saturday flight leaving about 9 pm so I could sleep a while.

What is the range to Auckland? ORD-AUK would be a great route
One can fly to Australia not via or SFO -- viz. GUM-CNS. However, it would be nice if HNL-SYD was restored. Perhaps EWR-HNL-SYD same plane service.

CMN would be a smart addition. The route would be aided by the Fly America Act. I am sure many people would prefer not to fly AF or the DL codeshare operated by AT.

One could take a northerly route out of CMN. LIS-EWR is operated with 757. CMN-EWR is 300-400 miles further. Could a 757 do it? Refuling at YHX would not be much out of the way.

DL was smart when they grabed this out of JFK. Would think that UA could do it too.

Ditto on DL snapping up JFK-REK. Think there is room for another carrier?

Yes, especially with US leaving, one would think that FLG-DEN would be reasonable.

I think you'll have to be content with DEN-IAH-DAL or fly into DFW.

Can't do a 320. If only they still had a 727, they might be able to do a SFO-IAH-EYW direct flight.

You mean take the Orange Line plus the two shuttles that connect the airports to rail?

If the weather's not too hot I can walk to DAL since I don't check luggage. DFW, not so much

You have three other hub choices that will also earn you some more PQM, as well as keep you on mainline on the domestic leg

Were they feasible, there would already be a flight. As UA is contracting, I'm expecting far fewer convenient flights anywhere. Anyhow, AA/AS have the DCA-LAX route monopolized, and SNA is runway length constrained.

T'would be a great blessing to restore some competition on the west coast and introduce mainline equipment on SEA-LAX (or even SEA-SAN) and PDX-LAX. I think a fair amount of O & D potential is there, and for SEA and PDX pax travelling on trans-pac routings, it adds insult to injury to face the segment to SFO or LAX in a flying tin can. Even the 170s are gone now.

waiting in SFO this morning

At $39 it would make a great mileage run. I can see all the locals taking their kids on it just to ride the big bird. Of course, it would conveniently require a positioning flight SFO-CLE for the 747.

Agree there is ORD, SFO or LAX (others ?) but why would you want to spend 5 hrs on crappy domestic aircraft even in 1st class and then at least anther 12 hrs intl. The EWR->PVG has the Business First product which I like a great deal and has 50 seats of it, so upgrades via GPU are better.
