I'm looking at tickets at various times in the year and they're 9-10 cpm. Not talking about mileage runs but actually going to places that are popular.

And the examples given in the previous posts suggest 8 cpm is typical. Then you add in hotel and other travel expenses.
Understood...

I am warped too - I think 10.6 for elite maximizer is a good deal...

Personally, I would like to see UA go ahead and sell status outright (I know the "bis" crowd hates this idea) but they've probably realized they can make a lot more money selling it off in small digestible pieces through a gimmick like Accelerator. And Accelerator does give the pax more flexibility.

No question, we are warped.

But I just checked a domestic reservation and the all in was 15.3 cpm for me! Crossed the 50 K PQM mark last week so I guess my price went up accordingly! Happy I grabbed the big slug of them at 10.6 - warped or not!

What's your price now, out of curiosity, for an international itin? (Previously 2.1+8.5=10.6)

Not sure...all re maing booked so far are domestic. My guess is a little less, but not likely 10.6.

I am still seeing .021 (.085) on an SJU flight (revenue)

.024 (+.085) on a CUN flight (award, partner)

.029 (+.085) on a third routing...

I am sorry to sound stupid, but I am VERY new to all of this and can't really make heads or tails out of it. On a trip I have at the end of Jan. have an offer to buy 45,000 miles for $945 and then to add premier accelerator for $3,825 for a total of $4,770. Is this a goos deal? Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you,
Maria

Hi Maria...and welcome!
That offer equates to 10.6 cents per mile "all in", which is being discussed here as a good price if you need/want those elite qualifying miles (PQMs). If you do not want or need them to achieve or maintain status, then any price is probably too high.

That's the same offer I got -and took - early this year. For me, it equates to 9 transcontinental trips at about $525 each that I now do not have to fly to stay at 1K.

Hope this helps!

Based on my recent experience buying ~3000 PQMs in December, it *does not* count towards MM status, unfortunately.

I have 951,000 lifetime miles. This year I fell from 1k/CO Plat for 6 years to silver (Gee thanks GoToMeeting)

I have a HKG trip coming up next month that I used my last GPUs on.^

I clicked on the Premier Accelerator and it offered 60,000 miles for $5360.

Hmmm... could I buy MM?????

Nope

I guess that I could buy and be Plat after this trip (first for the year) nah...

I should be thankful. That just saved me $5360.

2014 MP enhancements? Do you know something none of us know?

Matching to AS sounds like a good idea though, especially if your travel is west coast / Hawaii centric.
