United Airlines Award/Premier Accelerator Rates [2013]

I was seeing rates of ~ $.30 per PQM on Accelerator a few days ago, and now that we're in 2013 and miles have reset, it's half that.

I've got a flight to Sydney that it's offering me 45,000 PQMs for for $6,750. No thanks.

I will need between 20-30k additional EQMs (from planned BIS) to re-up 1K this year, most likely, but am hoping to pay no more than $.08 or so via the Accelerator.

Anyone have an opinion as to whether that option at that price may happen - and if so - when in the year it's most likely?

it could be since the YTD PQM have reset to zero, we are getting the less than 25K YTD pricing (2.x cpm for RDMs and additional 15 cpm for PQMs)

The AI price never got that low (but close at mid-year) for 2012 and in 2012 the price structure close worst for those with greater YTD totals

My offer dropped from .03 and .25 (RDM/PQM) in late 2012 to .03 and .15 today.

please refer to the 2012 thread if you would like an immediate answer...

If the price gets down to .075 / PQM for me this year like it did in June/July of 2012 (and my travel forecast shows me short PQM's), then I think I would buy at that rate. (.075/PQM + .03/RDM = .105 total)

At 18,000 short of 1K right now (2012), I will be looking to see if UA makes an attractive offer to buy up to 1K for 2013 travel year.

Wow, that $.085 offer for PQMs is pretty attractive. That is about the cost of some transcon mileage runs, without the hassle of actually having to run.

We did manage to get a BUR-SFO-BWI run in for $252 (.043) last year, which got me gold and her 1K.
If I was going to be the in 1K neighborhood, it may be worth it, but I don't think I'll have another 82K miles.
Platinum isn't going to get me much. As a platinum, I think my wife got 2 upgrades out of LAX last year.

Have two identical itineraries for me and my son. He got 0.085 PQM offer while mine is 0.15. RDM offers are the same for both.

We both are 1K, though he got the status by nomination from MM benefit by me.

yesterday i was 15 cpm for PQMs, day it is 8.5 cpm -- still almost 11 cpm AI. Dropping faster after the new year than 2012.

24,000 Extra Miles for $504 = 2.1 cents per RDM

and

Add Premier Accelerator for $2,040 more = 8.5 cents per PQM

These were for my 1K account for an award itinerary that I just ticketed yesterday.
