Interesting idea. Although if my sat was 90% I don't think I'd want to know. Have you measured yours on a regular pressurized plane?

When I was at Boeing last fall and had a chance to talk to some Boeing engineers on a 787 interior mock up, while on this subject, I asked if they ever did any testing on their lavatories, because my sats always drop to 84 after a trip to a lav and depending on the aircraft can take anywhere up to 2 minutes to return to acceptable levels (I'm happy with anything >90). They started taking amongst themselves, pondered about the vacuum flush and eventually said that they had no idea -- no one had ever asked that question before, but if they figured out why they would let me know. I have yet to hear back from them.

Every flight, every plane. I fly 150K a year. The very worst is a 737 Y Window seat.

Nor do I, but I am able to function at that level, although I don't feel all that great. Since it is for a brief period of time and I recover relatively quickly, it's just one of those odd things and I'd like to know the answer. Maybe it's just me.

I'm at my wits end with this 787 swap!!!! My friend just spent an hour with reservation rebooking IAH-LAX to IAH-SFO-LAX because they swapped his original flight for a 767.
I was booked ORD-IAH on Sun 12/9 on #3906, but it's now a 777. The crazy thing is the schedule says 787 but the seat map shows 777. Even the reservation agents were confused.
They made all this hype; we had to sit through their videos; now they have a hard time delivering. How many 787s are actually in operation? I thought only #3902 was out of commission. My flight is Sunday, and I've already made plans, because flight status kept showing my aircraft as #3906. I thought I was safe! Also I heard the IAH-AMS route has been pushed back.

I guess I will stick it out. Haven't flown the new configuration 764. Bought ticket to use two expiring GPUs, fly the 787 in F, at cost of $215 ai RT - for BWI-ORD-IAH-LAX-IAH-BWI. Don't need the EQM. But mostly flying AA now (due to TODs)
The IAH-SFO looks full in F, plus it gets in later than I would like to get to LAX. I am coming back at 9am on Sunday.

Good night sleep last night on UA1001 in 4A. Now, if the flight would have kept going for another 3 hours, I would be totally rested.

Aircraft #3904 is held at IAH due to aircraft servicing this morning - currently posting a 90 minute delay on its flight to EWR. I'm sure those of us in this discussion booked to fly from EWR to IAH this afternoon are keeping an eye on it.

I am at the gate for 1146 now. Aircraft 906 is actually at the gate. Not sure why united on the app is saying 904
Nevermind. Announcement just made they're towing away 906. So I assume they're bringing in 904. Departure delayed until 10 am

Would that suggest 906 is having an issue as well, or why didn't it just sub for 904 to begin with? As far as I can tell, 906 was only scheduled to operate the SFO flight later today

Yea, ours said 787 despite showing a 767 seat map until only shortly before the flight when I checked it on the android app and it then said 767. I was all excited thinking we were getting a 2-1-2 business config 787 as I'd seen pics of it. God knows United would never make it that roomy though.

Sitting in EWR awaiting whatever bird is flying in from IAH. Sure hope it stays the 787.
Anybody else flying the following route this weekend ?
12/8 EWR-IAH UA1599
12/8 IAH-SFO UA1433
12/8 SFO-IAH UA1709
12/9 IAH-EWR UA1146
They All still show the 787 albeit the first segment is on a 2 hour Delay.

I will be on the EWR-IAH flight today. Now showing 4:20pm departure, so haven't gone to the airport yet.
